4 mitered cuts are required for the DDE818CII internal connector.  No plastic shows in this design.

Variable Angle Connector can be used as a 2 piece connection using 1 part A or 1 Fixed Base and 1 part B or a 3 piece connection using 1 part A or 1 Fixed Base and 2 parts B.  Fixed Base is a 2 barbed prong with a .500 C-C dimension to attach to spacer if the application requires it.
